Shed of Influence
Sound performance

A sound performance that encourages participants to question the source, authority and agenda of the news they consume today. Participants are guided through a biased performance of today’s news by 1 of 6 fictional cult leaders.

When the participant enters the shed, they are given a form to fill that they will submit through the hatch door once complete.

Their answers decide which cult leader will perform their news. The personas of these leaders were inspired by the voices of 6 mainstream newspapers.

At the end of the performance, participants are given a letter addressed to them. A note inside the letter explains the premise of the shed in detail and reminds them that nothing is truly unbiased, and to always ‘Question the Voice’.
